Marie Battle, D.V.M.
Dr. Marie Battle grew up in Honolulu Hawaii and started nurturing her love of animals by volunteering at the Hawaiian Humane Society in high school. She attended UC Davis where she worked with all kinds of animals from mice to goats to cattle and received her Bachelors degree in 2009 in Animal Science. Between undergrad and veterinary school, Marie had a short career in human medicine studying new antibiotics but eventually found her way back to animal medicine. Dr. Battle graduated with a DVM from Western University of Health Sciences in California.
Dr. Battle is a member of the AVMA and is certified in Low Stress Handling techniques developed by Dr. Sophia Yin. She also has a special interest in preventative medicine.
Dr. Battle recently moved to Virginia Beach with her husband and U.S. Marine Alex, as well as her Siberian husky T-Rex, and fancy feline Momo. Dr. Battle was an avid surfer in Hawaii and is excited to get back on the waves in Virginia Beach.
She looks forward to developing long lasting relationships with her patients and clients as well as providing compassionate and quality medicine!
