Kristen Seymour
D.V.M.
Dr. Kristen Seymour was born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan. Dr. Seymour grew up in animal hospitals, often going to work with her mother Dr. Marcia Izo, who is also a veterinarian. Dr. Seymour received a bachelor’s in Animal Science and her DVM from Michigan State University (Go Green!). During her time at MSU, she completed a fellowship in Emergency & Critical Care Medicine and started working as an Emergency Veterinarian in Saginaw, MI after graduation. Dr. Seymour met her husband in a college acapella group, they married in 2016 and decided to move to Virginia Beach for some warm weather and a “beach lifestyle” a year later.
Dr. Seymour has been working in the Virginia Beach area for the past 4 and ½ years as a general practice veterinarian. She has thoroughly enjoyed developing relationships with her clients and feels that taking the time to provide good client education is paramount in those relationships. Dr. Seymour’s professional areas of interest include Soft Tissue Surgery, Cytology, and Dermatology.
Dr. Seymour lives in Virginia Beach with her husband Anthony (a TV news reporter) and two furry family members: “Humphrey” the Golden Retriever and “Oscar” the Guinea Pig. Outside of work she enjoys going to the beach, being a couch potato with her dog, and singing in the car with her husband.
