Dr. Mueller was born and raised in the Washington, DC Metro area in a home with many different type of pets, fostering a strong passion for animals from a very young age.
She graduated from Old Dominion University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (Cum Laude). To pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian, she then moved to the United Kingdom to attend the University of Glasgow in Scotland, graduating as a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2011. Dr. Mueller continued her training by completing a one-year internal medicine and emergency/critical care internship. Having discovered a strong interest in emergency medicine and enjoyment of all Hampton Roads has to offer, Dr. Mueller has since worked as an ER veterinarian at local emergency practices. Dr. Mueller proudly joined Bay Beach Veterinary Hospital as an Emergency Clinician in March 2016.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Mueller enjoys spending time at the beach, visiting friends & family throughout Virginia, going to concerts, and a little retail therapy. Though her and her husband find that most of their time involves being pet parents to 3 goofy and loveable French mastiffs, Vera, Morty, and Morticia and 3 incorrigible cats, Bowie, Dita, and Simba.
